The photographs below are the studio work inspired by Awol Erizku and Paul Sepuya. These are self portraits and personal objects representing memories, myself, intrest and communities I belong to. Some of the items I chose are random and I thought they would look good in a Photo.
What my vision is for my photography book is portraits mixed with and created with different elements of light similar to Photographer Meng Wen Cao and her Liminal Space portraits. For example, one of the photos I’ve already taken was accidental exposure using mirrors. One question that I have for you is how do I still keep pushing with a variety and interesting photos using light over the course of my book? Also like photographer Bieke Depoorter I would also like to incorporate writing into my photographs to add to the storytelling of the photos and have more of the voices in the photo.
