In this project, I wanted to create images that represented what music personally means to me, alongside the role it plays in my life. I conveyed this theme in various ways ranging from more literal photos to more abstract photos—music has the ability to make people feel so many ways, and I wanted to convey that. This series is very personal to me; it includes snapshots of important people in my life, my personal music collections, as well as interpretations of songs/albums that hold a lot of meaning to me. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
My favorite image from my series is probably the 2nd image of my series that features a disassembled body shot of my face. As I mentioned in my previous paragraph, music has the ability to make me feel so much emotion, and on top of that, its a big part of my identity. This shot features multiple versions of my face, and I feel like that represents all the different emotions and versions of my identity that music has allowed me to unlock.
