My project is a combination of sports (soccer) and coming of age. Through my photos I tried to show a different perspective of playing soccer. Instead of just normal athletic photos, I tried showing what it's like to play soccer as a girl while still growing up and maturing. Often times, females in sports are seen as less serious, so I gave in to that idea by shooting things that show femininity like earrings, hair, and eyes. I also shot at the beach to symbolize freedom, happiness and the opportunities that's associated with soccer for me.
